Energy ­production solutions

We provide solutions that allow you to produce energy with microturbines, engines and ORC technology.

CHP microturbine plants

We deliver complete microturbine plants as turnkey installations.

The energy source can be biogas, natural gas, LNG, LPG or other liquid fuels suitable for electricity and heat production.

We use microturbines manufactured by Capstone Green Energy Corporation, the world leader in microturbine systems. Microturbines can be used in industry (for CHP or CCHP) to replace steam boilers, increase efficiency and reduce energy costs.

Turbines are a competitive alternative for energy production at water treatment plants and landfills where the biogas may include impurities and vary in availability.

Turbine advantages:

  • Modular structure helps solve issues caused by fluctuations in the availability of gas.
  • Capable of generating energy from gas rich in hydrogen sulphide, improving cost efficiency.
  • No need for oil, lubricants or coolants.
Delivery also includes gas processing equipment. 

CHP engine power plants and gas engines

We deliver complete engine power plants as turnkey installations.

The energy source can be methane, biogas, hydrogen or energy gas mixes suitable for electricity and heat production, including combined heat and power production (CHP).

  • We can deliver engine power plants of any scale from single gas engines up to complete plants and operating contracts.
  • We design the plant according to the energy source and planned use.
  • Our solutions provide the best possible operating efficiency.
  • We can even handle the excavation work, if you so choose.
  • If you are looking to exploit the waste heat of your engines, their efficiency can be improved with an ORC system.

For electricity and heat production deliveries, we use correctly dimensioned high-quality MWM gas engines manufactured by Caterpillar Energy Solutions GmbH, a world-leading supplier of environmentally friendly energy production plants.

Biogas always contains hydrogen sulphide, which we can remove before use. We can also reduce the siloxane content. 

ORC systems

Triogen ORC system can be used to produce electricity from the exhaust gases of gas- and diesel-powered engines. Likewise, heat energy produced with domestic biofuels can be converted into electricity. The acronym ORC stands for Organic Rankine Cycle.

Instead of water, the working fluid in an ORC system is an organic fluid, such as toluene, isobutane, isopentane, or various silicone oils suitable for the heat source’s temperature.

Using an organic working fluid instead of water allows the exploitation of lower temperatures. The ORC process requires no additional fuel to operate, meaning the electricity produced does not add to the carbon emissions of the process.

The Triogen ORC system can use a variety of heat sources:

  • Biogas and natural gas engine exhaust gases
  • Diesel engine exhaust gases
  • Gas turbine exhaust gases
  • Process heat
  • Furnace heat
  • Biomass
  • Any other heat source that reaches > 350 °C
