Natural gas and biogas filling stations – liquefied gas

We deliver both liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (LBG) filling stations. Our stations can be located independently of natural gas pipelines, because LNG is delivered to the filling station by truck. Heavy vehicles typically use a liquefied gas (LNG or LBG) as fuel.

Passenger cars typically use compressed gas, either liquefied compressed natural gas (LCNG) or liquefied compressed biogas (LCBG). This means that the station must also pressurise the vaporised gas. LNG/LCNG stations can supply both pressurised and liquefied natural gas. 

Sarlin LCNG filling station deliveries include the following

Natural gas and biogas filling stations – compressed gas

Compressed natural gas (CNG) or compressed biogas (CBG) is directed from a natural gas pipeline or biogas plant to the filling station for desiccation and pressurisation. 

In the design of the facility, special attention is paid to the climate conditions in Finland and the energy efficiency class of the building.  Domestic construction offers multiple benefits such as sandwich-type exterior wall energy panels that are very lightweight compared to concrete containers. The energy panels improve the building’s energy class and can save up to 35 % in heating costs.

Sarlin CNG stations include:

  • High-pressure compressors for pressurising the gas to 250 or 300 bar
  • Adsorption dryer for bringing the dew point of the gas to an average of -60 °C
  • Gas storage tanks
  • Pressure- and temperature-compensated dispenser for fast filling and process monitoring

  • All equipment installed in an energy-efficient container

Absolute safety

We deliver gas filling systems and take responsibility for system maintenance, monitoring, operation, and reporting. We have developed our own remote monitoring system for improved usability – you receive all necessary alarms and data through a secure monitoring system.

  • Our design minimises the stresses on the pipes and connections between devices.
  • We provide the easiest access to the components which most often require maintenance.
  • All cables to actuators and electrical motors are enclosed.
  • During delivery, we cooperate closely with the authorities and inspection agencies.
