The leading robotics brands are the newest additions to our product and service range

We are increasing our product range and services for the robotics sector, which has taken big leaps forwards in recent years.

From now on, we offer End-of-Arm Tools and components from two leading European manufacturers, IPR – Intelligente Peripherien für Roboter GmbH and Effecto Group S.p.A.

At Sarlin we already have decades-long experience in industrial automation, and it is a natural step to offer also robotics tools and components.

Robotics for higher performance

Robotics offers more efficient methods for different stages of production. With the right tools and components, it is possible to automate many recurring, non-ergonomic tasks that demand great precision.

The new robotics products are suitable for the needs of many industries, such as:

  • Machine workshops and engineering workshops
  • Assembly lines
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Food industry
  • Logistics
  • Medical & life science

The new robotics products are also suitable for industries that use deburring and finishing tools, collision protection sensors and other special solutions in their production.

We also work closely with robot integrators, who enable the implementation of robotics solutions in the production and assembly lines.

Two leading European brands: IPR – Intelligente Peripherien für Roboter GmbH and Effecto Group S.p.A

Two well-known robotics brands have a broad selection of products, tools and components that complement each other.

The German company IPR (Intelligente Peripherien für Roboter GmbH) specialises in manufacturing EOAT tools, "the arms and legs of a robot". These can be used in for example, assembly and when there is a need to move parts.

IPR Intelligente Peripherien für Roboter GmbH selection includes:

  • Pneumatic grippers
  • Tool changers
  • Components for position compensation
  • Collision protectors
  • Linear axes for moving the robot (robot 7-axis)

Effecto Group, an entity of several technology companies, also offers a very wide range of end-of-arm-tooling for faster, flexible and efficient automation-based processes.

Effecto Group range includes:

  • Pneumatic and mechatronic grippers
  • Tool changers
  • Collision protectors
  • Components for position compensation
  • Rotary feed-throughs

Both brands’ selections complete each other naturally. For example, Effecto Group has a broader selection of robust tool changers and grippers, such as mechatronic grippers for cobots. On the other hand, IPR offers also linear axis solutions for the moving of the robots.

In these times, reliable delivery chains are increasingly important, and the two brands help to ensure this is better than one. In the future, we plan to grow our robotics selection according to our customers' needs.

Robotics supports competitive and more humane working conditions

Robots have long been an important part of the industry, and in Finland, especially the engineering workshop industry has taken a leading position in robotics investments. For the last 10 years, the Finnish industry's robotics investments have been steadily growing overall.

When speaking of robotics, many are wondering if robots will make people unemployed. This is luckily not the case. According to studies, the amount of employees is even higher in companies that have been using robotics to boost their production. The new technologies have also led to more varied jobs and better service to customers.

Robotics enables more humane working conditions while human resources to more intellectual tasks. It makes more sense to hand over many tasks to robots: for example, physically heavy, repetitive, and fast-paced are better to leave to robots. Human input is still needed, e.g. for robot programming, monitoring, and quality control of finished work.
